Barbra Levin, (she/her) Chair

Barbra is a native of Marengo, Illinois. She started her career in Thailand as a Peace Corps volunteer and worked for Public and Community Health Centers, Refugee agencies, and non-profits for 40 years. She has a Master’s Degree from the University of Chicago, and an M.P.H. from Harvard University. She is Toby’s daughter and devoted to the cause of reproductive health equity.

Anna Gifford, (she/her)
Secretary

Anna is a Huntley, IL resident and devoted to the cause of reproductive health and women’s rights.  She established a chapter of the National Organization for Women in McHenry County. She holds Masters degrees in Telecommunications & Networking and Information Systems Management.Anna believes in, and acts as an ally to social justice groups in the area .

Robert Levin, (He/him)
Treasurer

Robert is a Marengo native and resident. He is Toby’s son and equally passionate about her devotion to reproductive health equity. Robert holds an MBA and ran Levin’s Shoes and Dry Goods for many years. He currently works with Farmer’s Markets and organic produce. Robert also serves as Treasurer of McHenry County Citizens for Choice.

Linda Balek, (she/her) Member at Large

Raised in a Chicago suburb, Linda Balek moved with her family to a farm outside Marengo. After a career as a film editor she changed direction and studied for a graduate degree in Environmental Science. She is currently the Farm Program Manager at the Land Conservancy of McHenry County. Linda lives in Harvard.

Carrie Estrada, (she/her) Member at Large

Carrie Estrada is the Executive Director of the Northwest Center Against Sexual Assault (NWCASA) which also operates the CARE Center in McHenry County. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years experience working in social services.

Trina Levin, (she/her)
Member at Large

Trina is Toby’s daughter and a devoted advocate of Reproductive Health Equity. She was raised in Marengo. She spent her career as a Clinical Social Worker and Manager at various agencies throughout the country working with children and adults who experience mental illness
